Newbie at posting
I am trying to figure this all out. Please bear with me. My profile asked several questions I don't know answer to. How did you all get all that info?

Hi OhioNana, which things is it that you did not know the answers to? If you tell us the questions you struggled with, we can assist.
-
The names of the chemo drugs I'm on weren't listed. and grades?
-
The grade of your cancer is on your pathology report. Do you have access to a patient portal which has copies of your report. It's sometimes listed in 'proliferation' or Nottingham score. If you have that info, we can translate that into Grade if it's not listed.
for your chemo -you might have generic names of drugs or brand or vice versa. Post here what they are & I can help you.

Welcome, OhioNana. We can also give you links to threads with discussions that relate to what you are interested in talking about. For example, location of mets, age, complementary therapies, side effects, hobbies, etc. Just let us know.

My ttreatments since March consist of Herceptin, Perjeta and Taxotere. 5 down and 1 to go. My SE are watery eyes, no taste, sore tongue, diarrhea, and fatigue. My legs feel like they weigh 100 pounds each. I try and walk outside but can't go very far. I get discouraged.
-
Herceptin and Perjeta are both under Targeted Therapy, not under chemo.
Taxotere is under chemo & is also called docetaxel.
After you enter your diagnosis (you can skip anything you dont know) then go to the treatments tab and you should be able to choose all these.
Usually we stay on treatment forever. What is the plan after the last dose? Dropping the taxotere and just keeping herceptin and perjeta?
You're doing the right thing by trying to walk. Exercise does make fatigue better but it's hard at the beginning. It gets better!

Hi there, OhioNana - if you'd like input on side effects - mouth issues like sore tongue, dryness etc are usually related to Taxotere, watery eyes could be the Taxotere but Herceptin also can cause this. Diarrhea probably Herceptin and Perjeta related.
The good news if you are staying on Herceptin and Perjeta like most of us Stage IV people do, the side effects may lessen greatly when you're done with Taxotere.
My body eventually adjusted and I stopped having diarrhea. Watery eyes still come and go - but not like a leaky faucet as they were in the beginning.
I will echo what Moth says about exercise - any movement you feel able to do is a plus.

Hi, I believe I saw you on the zoom on Monday. Yes, far as I know now, plan is to stay on Herceptin and Perjeta. Just be happy when some of these se go away. Guess it depends on what CAT shows early Sept.
Thanks for all your help.
