I'm 24 and have a hard, non-moveable lump top of breast.

Hiya,

I have had multiple issues with my breasts before in the past, ranging from areola discharge from my breasts (which I assumed was paget's disease) when I was 18. This has since cleared up. I have very ropey breasts which I was referred to at my local breast clinic where the ultrasound came back clear (this was back when I was about 21-22?)

Now, I have a very hard lump that is at the top of my left breast. It feels very hard; I don't believe it moves and it doesn't have definite borders (I feel as if there is a dent on one side).

I saw a doctor about two months ago who examined me and she advised that she does not believe it is anything sinister and that I should come back a month later, when I am off my period. I saw the same doctor today and she advised that she can feel a lump now but it feels more like a cyst.

I have read online that hard lumps are the sinister kind, especially ones that do not move. I often have lumpy breasts but the lumps feel nothing like this. I have had thehard lump for a while now and I'm becoming increasingly worried. She has referred me to a breast clinic but in the UK, they tend to come back to you in 2-3 weeks to offer an appointment.

I do also want to note that I have lost a lot of weight. In total, from previous breast symptoms I have lost around 50lbs/4stone. I thought that could have contributed to the issue as well, since my boobs have drastically shrunk!

Should I be worried? I have no history of breast cancer in my family and I am 24 years old.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
