I'm no expert, but I enjoy watching birds and I have a hive of bees. Lately my best way to de-stress is go out and watch bee TV and the birds in my garden. Post your pics! Maybe include where you saw the bird and when. This is an osprey near Cascade, Idaho last summer. I really enjoy watching them dive and catch fish.

This is a crossbill, same trip. Males are red, females yellow and they were flying around in a group. I had never seen one before.

Beautiful photos, Kestrel! I love watching birds, but I have not learned to photograph them well. Almost everything I plant in my garden has nectar, seeds, and/or berries for the birds. A pair of house finches made a nest under the eaves, and some mockingbirds are working on their nest in a tree. A flock of vireos regularly visits the shrub outside DH's home office window. The hummers finished their courting displays a while ago and now I am seeing some rather small hummingbirds at the flowers. We had some crows vs. hawks drama. Lovely owl sounds at night. I'm with you. My go-to feel better move is to go outside and spend time with all the beautiful plants and creatures. I court butterflies, too.

Thanks 😊 I like my camera with the zoom lens. I also have good binoculars but some of the best shots I'll have to draw. I had this cherry tree and I was fighting to keep some for a pie. I put one of those wobble head fake owls on the fence trying to scare off the birds. Well I looked outside and there were a bunch of birds and squirrels sitting by the owl, eating cherries. Then I heard a loud screech and an angry red tail hawk came swooping down and attacked the owl and knocked it off the fence, head flying off. 😂 Wish I had video. It's cool how many birds show up when you plant a few things they like. Today I saw a hummingbird tasting my rose of Sharon bush. Didn't get him but here's the flower.
