I am grateful

I am grateful that the sun came out and after a lot rain.. Even if it is for just a short time it is nice to have a little sun again.

I am grateful my doctor appointment is over and none scheduled for next few weeks.

I am grateful it will be cooler today here.

I am grateful for the friends here.

I am grateful for all health professionals who work so hard to help us.

Seriously, in the past when challenged with life I would "count my blessings". Really just thinking of as my and everything in my life that I have to be grateful for. It kept depression at bay, for sure.

My latest challenge is pain. Surely I can resume the practice of thanking God for all that is still good in my life despite this pain. Like the treatments coming up and the hope they offer for things to get back to something resembling a life worth living.

I am grateful for food on table and a roof over my head.

I am grateful for my dogs who even though are getting older are still here and good company.

I’m grateful that my kids are almost in college (1 in college, 1 HS Senior) as I navigate this new diagnosis. Less worrisome for them if they are off doing their own thing!
