Reconstruction question

I don't have any experience with reconstruction other than my own, so I don't know if this is normal or a problem, or not. I thought I'd ask here, and see if anyone has any input. I had BMX, expanders, now gummy bear smooth round implants, and some fat grafting.

My PS told me he attempted to make some cleavage, and as far as I know no alloderm was used. I'm appx a B cup, and have good symmetry. Implants are under the muscle. In between my breasts, the skin is not close to my chest--I can push the skin down to my ribcage between 1/2-1 inch deep. It feels weird, but looks okay.

I had a checkup with my breast surgeon yesterday, and she pushed on it, and asked if my PS plans to fix that. WHAT? I was so surprised by her question that I just said what he had said, that he had tried to make cleavage. I wish that I had asked her more about it, but I was totally taken off guard. So, should I be able to push that in? Does it cause a problem with separation or something else later? I don't know what's normal and what's not, but I'm a little unsettled by her question.

I'm not a physician though I believe the skin between your breasts should be attached to your sternum. It sounds like Symmastia:

I read that article and unfortunately I agree, and the picture looks just like me. I'm feeling a little angry right now with my PS, because I know he knows about this and didn't say anything all this time. I was looking forward to the likelihood of one final surgery to remove dog ears, but it looks like I'm going to find a new PS and go from there. I could cry.

StAuggie, a lot of us have had “fast ones” pulled on us, and it is maddening. I am sorry it happened to you too. I would suggest getting several opinions before having the repair done.

Go ahead and cry. It will help relieve the stress.

I have been. I am so angry, and feeling defeated right now. I had complications with the original bmx and healing after chemo...I've already had seven surgeries. F cancer.
