Breast implant infection

I had a BMX 3 1/2 years with tissue expanders and then exchange with silicone implants. I went under the muscle. Fast forward to 2021 and having issues with my implants under the muscle. Decided to do over the muscle silicone implants with mesh. In less than a week I had a breast infection. I was admitted to the hospital and spent 8 days on IV antibiotics. Things seemed to be going I the right direction until I noticed a small lesion my breast. It was an infection. I had my implant removed today. My PS wants to wait 6months before trying again. Anyone else experience this?Did you go on to try again over the muscle? Was it successful? I'm feeling pretty discouraged right now.

    so sorry you have to go through this. I had infection during the expander process, I was in hospital for 11 days, they gave me the choice to try and keep the expander or remove it. Treated with antibiotics and went on to exchange surgery 2 months later. Every situation is different but I think once the infection is clear you will be able to finish. Wishing you all the best.

    Hello ladies

    Anyone can answer me , how long tissue expander stay in? Mine already about 1 year by end of this July 2021 , I feel uncomfortable now too long 😣.. anyone same like me? Thanks a lots

    I had mine in for 10 months. Is there a reason you haven't exchanged them for implants?
