Do all hormone inhibitors raise your blood sugar? I am a type2 diabetic. Letrozole and now Faslodex has sent my blood sugars soaring. My Endo Dr has already put me on highly concentrated insulin (U-500) and it's still going up. What does one do? I'm really feeling helpless here.

i was unaware that the AI’s raised ones blood sugar. Surely this is something that your mo should be aware of. Have you asked her/him about it? Aromasin (Exemestane) works by a different mechanism than letrozole or anastrozole but I don’t know if that would effect blood sugar. Take care

Yes they seem to all raise blood sugar. I have already spoken to all Dr's involved. It's hormone-related so yes it can raise ones blood sugar. Make sure yours are checked.

I’ve been on 4 AIs none of which have affected my glucose. I also am on the OmniPod system, does a fantastic job controlling me. Am T2. Maybe your endo would consider a pump?

Endo checked that out. The Omnipod doesn't hold enough insulin for me.

boooooo. How about some of the other pumps? I’ve never used any of them, so don’t know. Don’t want to fool with tubes
