How long after your pre-admission was the surgery?

I had the appointment with the plastic surgeons on 11 June (last Friday). Saw in the health portal app that the preadmission/preanaesthetics phone call is booked for 14 July. I'd really like to know when the surgery is happening so I can sort of plan the rest of my life/work/study. The last time I had a preadmission phone call before a surgical procedure it was about 3 weeks prior to the actual booking.

How long was your pre-admission appointment or phone call before surgery? Don't know if anyone can assist - it's probably just a case of more waiting - but if anyone can, it will be massively appreciated.

I had the pre-admission call on a Wednesday then surgery the following Monday. However, the surgery was scheduled first and then they arranged the call based on the surgery date.

Thanks. I think there may be a letter on its way to me with a surgery date or estimate, but the post is so incredibly slow these days it's hard to know if/when. I mean, I'm hoping there is a letter with a surgery date given the preadmission appointment has now been booked, but given my limited knowledge of the public health system here I'm really not sure.

My experience has always been I have the surgery date booked first and then the pre-admission appointment (usually just a phone call) is scheduled in response to that, sometimes a week before, sometimes a month

Mine was a week before, but my surgery was scheduled first. I think my hospital requires the preadmission visit be within 30 days of surgery.
