clavicle

Options

I’m wondering if anyone knows if mets ever appear on the clavicle. I have had a deep dull pain (discomfort really) in my clavicle for a few months on the non-cancer side, which probably makes it unlikely to be mets. There is no lump or swelling. I have my yearly visit to the oncologist in the fall and will mention it then. I would be very grateful for your opinions about this. tia.

    April,

Sorry that you have this worry. The rule of thumb is that if pain persists for two weeks, see your mo. Bone mets can appear in the clavicle and when it comes to mets, they go where they want regardless of which side your original bc was on. For your own peace of mind, given the length of time you've had the pain, please see your mo way sooner than the fall. Chances are it is not mets but don't live with worry for months! Take care.
