Help please....Vaginal atrophy from Faslodex
I'm in serious need of some help. Does anyone know of an internal moisterizer? The burning is killing me. I tried Replens and I just about went to the ER with burning pain. What does one use?

Deamo, that is the Sensuva hybrid personal moisturizer, unscented, that I mentioned on your other thread. It is an internal moisturizer. If your tissue is in bad shape, I think anything may sting a little at first, but I doubt it would be ER-pain. Has your gynecologist ruled out any infection such as bacterial vaginosis or yeast which would exacerbate the pain from dryness? Also, it may be helpful to have a "feminine intimate wash" (external only) with the right pH, such as Organyc.

Thank you, I will check it out. Besides having the Faslodex, I just had a hysterectomy. So things are not good as far as hormones. The Gyno just said to use an outer lube which is not what I need.

I only see external lubes in this brand.

coconut oil! I’ve also used an estring and the pills. Vagiform? Makes a huge difference. I know they have estrogen but it stays locally. I am Er+ and have been stage for 8 years. It’s worth a discussion and for me the a small risk to be comfortable.

Thank you!

I use revaree and kindra. They are expensive, but I have tried everything and the combo of these two have made a huge difference for me

Thank you

Zillsnot4me, May I ask how long they had you stay on the Vagifem? I just started some estradiol .01% for atrophy. Now I kind of wonder how long a person can stay on it.
Deamo1, Also, I found a lot of the OTC moisturizers burned me, but in time, it got better. I do use the coconut oil as well. A lot of them are expensive. This is a very depressing problem. I think you might need some local estrogen also. It is supposed to stay local.

I, too, am super sensitive, and burned from Replens and some of the other moisturizers/lubes. It's awful!
Coconut oil doesnt burn at all, and does help. Hyalogyn and Revaree were suggested by my gyn, but coconut oil is the most comfortable. I am now using Estradiol as per my drs advice.
I hope you find some relief!

I’ve had a script off and on for years. I don’t always take it weekly.

From their signatures, it appears that anotherNYCgirl and kksmom do not have metastatic disease which may be why their physicians allow use of estradiol (assuming both use the cream not an oral version!)
As a retired pharmacist, I would not want to apply a vaginal hormone formulation and give my mutant cells an opportunity to feed off of it and possibly contribute to progression.
Although those products are supposed to remain local, if tissue is raw or abraded more can be absorbed. It sounds like many get relief from non-medicated options such as coconut oil so I think that is the safer choice.
