Hugs to you, Ana. Bless you, we all understand how frightened you are. Please take a breath and try very hard to think positive. Waiting for results is so hard. If you feel a bit out of control with anxiety, ask your doctor for an anxiety medication. That is one thing that helped me a LOT when I was waiting for test results.

At your age, it is very likely that it is not cancer. Do you know when you'll get the results? Please take care of yourself and STOP googling. There is a lot of outdated and incorrect information floating around the internet. My very best wishes to you.

If it helps, there is no way to know that there is something seriously wrong until after you have a diagnosis that leads to a node biopsy or other screening for the possibility of advanced breast cancer and a lack of response to treatment.

Yes, you read that right. You can have cancer and (as long as you have health insurance), I would say it's still not seriously wrong as long as it's treatable with curative intent. It's scary, it's a pain in the ass, it can be painful and bad if you happen to have side effects to treatment, but it's not seriously wrong.

Before I had breast cancer, I was always aware of it as a scary possibility (multiple family cases including deaths). After I've had breast cancer, I am always aware of recurrence as a scary possibility. The possibility is *always* there, it just sometimes becomes more imminent.

    Hang in there!

Hopefully this all turns out well for you! Glad you went to the doc and good they did an U/S to check things out.... Please let us know once you hear. Hopefully the area begins feeling better which would increase the chance of it being a muscle issue. The anxiety while waiting is really difficult....
