Pinching below belly button and other random things

I had a bilateral mastectomy, diep flap reconstruction, 3 weeks ago. I"m progressing well enough, I suppose. But, I guess I thought at 3 weeks out, I'd be feeling much better than I am.

The main complaint is that I have a pinching feeling at and just below the belly button. This is accompanied by a sensation that is most unpleasant, like bubbles or ants coming in/out of the belly button. This started about 3 days ago. Has anyone experienced this? What can I do? I can't massage or manually relieve it as the area on top is numb. Pain meds aren't helping. I don't know what to do and its making me crazy! It is taking every ounce nit to shove something in my belly button.

Also I had drains out last week. At the site of one of the breast drains, there is a very hard lump there. It's not painful but I'm concerned about it. I don't see my doctor until end of this week.

Finally, I expected breast sensitivity but, holy crow! Tips for wearing clothes again comfortably?? Bras?

    Update and question:
I did call my dr. after a long, sleepless night. He changed up my meds (increased pain meds) and said to apply heat. He is thinking that there was some nerve damage or issues that happened when my abdominal drain was removed.

Has anyone experienced this? If so, can you relate how long this took to resolve? I'm fairly miserable so hoping this resolves fast. So far my internet searches haven't turned up anything. Thank you.

I didn't have a DIEP, but I had Gabapentin prescribed for nerve issues after my BMX. Are you on that?

No, no gabapentin is currently prescribed. I will have to ask about that.

CapsFaninVA, we are sorry to hear you are in such discomfort. Glad you decided to check in with your doctor. It's definitely important not to let the symptoms get too out of hand, and to get things looked at if you feel something isn't quite right. We're all here for you, and please let us know how you are doing with the new meds.
