Has anyone heard of or used a compression sock with the heal and toes open as a sleeve for lymphedema? It seems like it would be easier to get even compression that would have appropriate gradation. It would also be easy to put on and take off by yourself.

I wouldn’t use that. The sleeves have graduated compression for your arm, the sock wouldn’t be compatible. And probably wouldn’t be comfortable.

I am no LE expert but my sleeves are fitted, by a trained fitter, to meet the compression needs of my arm, not any other body part.I would imagine that a garment designed for leg compression might never be able to fitted correctly because legs and arms are not the same. Please speak with your LE therapist about this as incorrect compression can actually worsen LE.
