Covid vaccine affecting mammogram (any idea)

Dr Lisa Ann Mullen ( breast imaging fellowship director John Hopkins) explained how Covid vaccine effect mammogram results causing false red flags ( for some patients not all ) .

I had my mammogram one week after my first vaccine. Now going for biopsy soon .

Anyone have idea about this news .

Here is an article from Johns Hopkins on covid and mammograms with perhaps a more thorough explanation. The problem appears to be the vaccine causes temporary swelling of lymph nodes. Janet_111, there was another post on this. I was told there was a lot of false positives if you had a mammogram following a recent covid vaccination. I was told to wait 4-6 weeks. Is there anyone you can call and talk to about this before you have a biopsy? Did you have an ultrasound?

Thanks flashlight and Jelson for your replies. I talked with the radiologist and unfortunately mine is not lymph nodesalso I had vaccine in my right arm and the found someone suspicious in my left breast .

So I have to do biopsy. I appreciate your replies.
