    Hmm. I was 68, so a few years off. Both my BS and MO were shocked that my single sentinel node contained micromets, since it hadn't been picked up on any imaging. So will they just hope for the best in these cases?

    I was diagnosed with papillary carcinoma in situ with a small area of DC arising from that 5mm tumor. Grade 1, ER+ Her2-, and it was thought that I could skip radiation and chemotherapy post lumpectomy. Clean margins on tumor, no lymph node involvement. 3.5 years later I have e 2+cm local recurrence. Same cancer. I mistook the lump for scar tissue. Not sure what the future holds but wish I had been a bit more aggressive in seeking treatment first time out.
