ascites and pseudocirrhosis

My mom has been battling since 2008 with mets all over her body including her liver. According to her oncologist cancer is stable. She has recently developed ascites at the end of March and had a tank off put in 2 weeks ago. She has lost about 30 pounds and has struggled with eating and drinking fluids. The GI doc recommended changing meds and is now on Nadolol 2mg plus nausea meds. Can anyone give me insight on what we are looking at here with progression?
