Hello! I was recently diagnosed with Triple positive Mucinous Carcinoma in my left breast and I have an appointment set up in about 11 days. They did a fine needle biopsy and IHC to diagnose me. I've been reading that 3x positive mucinous cancer is pretty rare because most Mucinous cancer of the breast is HER2-. I am seeking people who were in a similar position. I'd like to hear about your experiences and what treatment was like for you. Thank you so much.

Hi gelatosun, and welcome to Breastcancer.org.

We're so sorry for the reasons that bring you here, but we're really glad you've found us. You're sure to find our amaziing Community a wonderful source of advice, information, encouragement, and support -- we're all here for you!

While you wait for the ever-helpful responses of our members, we wanted to point you to this thread in the Less Common Types of Breast Cancer forum on Mucinous Carcinoma of the Breast, where you can meet others with this type of cancer. It's possible you could also find another with HER2+ receptors. You may also want to use the search function to find others with a similar diagnosis.

Also, don't forget to fill out your diagnostic profile with your information and mark it as public (if you wish) so that it shows in your posts -- this will help others quickly identify your diagnosis and situation, without having to explain it each time you post.

In addition, we want to share this page from the main Breastcancer.org site on IDC Type: Mucinous Carcinoma of the Breast.

We hope this helps. Please let us know how your appointment goes!
