Love all the pix of dogs and humans! CeliaC, beautiful!!
It's been gray and very cold so treadmill the past few days. We had snow yesterday. The sun is out this morning. Hoping it's warm enough to get outside today.
-
I hope Grady also loves baths! 😄
I went to Pound this morning, walked the dog, and will do Dance2fit tonight. In awhile Bruno and I are meeting a friend and her two grandpuppies at the Dog Park. DS's GF has the afternoon off so will haul their 3 dogs over too. So that should be interesting!
-
ruthbru, I finally realized why you seem so familiar. I have a neighbor who resembles you a LOT and she and her husband walk pretty much every day.
-
I'm not aware of any relatives in Kansas, but you never know!
-
Ruth, I like your new avatar pic. Short sleeves and no hat! How was the park with six (!) dogs?
Walked yesterday afternoon (sunny and warm-ish) and today (not sunny and cool-ish).
I have a job interview on Monday for a limited term (two years) position with the state. If I can help mom with the bills, I will gladly un-retire.
-
Thanks to those who complimented on my photo! At 66.5 years old, it's very uplifting!
Loving the dog photos. Bruno is so cute, ruthbru. Heidihill - What a great photo of your dog waving "hello". Your Grady looks like such a sweetie, Martaj.
Yippee for those getting a good night's sleep!
Good luck on the job interview, badger.
-
Badger, my avatar is an old one from last fall when I was doing yoga in a park. We had a wild time at the Dog Park. When Bruno got home, he was so tired that he passed out on the couch. He must have been dreaming about all the fun because he was barking in his sleep! Hope the interview goes well and it's a job you would enjoy.
Celia, how did the haircut go? I hope you left it rather long as it looks very nice on you!
Today is my exercise day off (I am finding there is
no such thing as a no-exercise day with a large puppy!). It was cold so DH, Bruno and I hiked on a trail protected by trees. I went for a wonderful lunch at an Italian restaurant with an old (and vaccinated) friend after which there have been two more walks.
Bruno sporting a hand-me-down sweater on our chilly hike this morning.
-
Ruth, Bruno's markings are beautiful.
-
Love all the dog pictures! Bruno is cute, Sammy is so precious waving, and Grady has beautiful coloring, mud and all!
Celia: Gorgeous! Post a picture on your haircut. Like Ruth said, hope you kept some length to it.
Badger: Good luck on your interview. You're such a good daughter.
edj: How is your kitty?
Hi Everyone! Dh and I mowed - 4th time this year so far. I could mow everyday if it were like today. 61 degrees, a little cloudy, a calm breeze. Getting garden ready for planting. Last year I covered the beds with plastic so weeds wouldn't grow. There were still some weeds and I spent an hour pulling them. Have a few volunteer potato plants that are sprouting! Rain is coming tomorrow and I plan to plant the vegetables on Sunday. I buy the plants (don't start them from seed). I spent $20 on tomato, squash, cucumber, and okra plants. Still need zucchini plants. We will definitely get our $20 back in tons of fresh vegetables.
-
OK, here's a selfie after the haircut (also got a brow wax). Keeping it longish!
-
Wow Celia! So pretty!
-
Celia, you look like a Fairy Godmother from a storybook!
-
Love the haircut, Celia--just gorgeous!
Wally is not really improved but he's also not dramatically worse. So that's good.
-
Pay and Zumba this morning. Dog walking this afternoon.
-
I agree with the above comments Celia, you have beautiful hair and a great cut.
-
When it hasn’t been so cold this week, I was taking my soon to be 1 yr old pup for a walk.
-
Boy I would dearly like to know why ANYONE would ever plant English ivy, especially in the Midwest. What a nasty, invasive thing that is.
Ran 4 miles this morning, did some prehab work for my glutes/piriformis and this afternoon I filled our yard waste trash bin with--you guessed it--English ivy.
-
I have similar thoughts about Rose of Sharon: it takes over and Will. Not. Die.
Two gym classes today, Ifeel strong!
-
Grady and mud, oh no! Great haircut, Celia. Glad Wally is stable, edj. Good luck on the interview, badger
Had a play date - YouTube for Sammy. He was almost unable to move the next day.
Went mountain biking yesterday but the old bike is falling apart. Lost half a pedal and couldn't get traction on gravel. Ended up with shiny new pedals and new hind tires.
Tennis court will be open tomorrow or Tuesday. Now have to find a partner.
-
Celia- pretty lady - love the hair
-
last week I rowed & biked every day. I’m building up my stamina on the rower. Getting outside when it’s nice out. Plus I got my second shot!
-
Morning - Been up for an hour and on the Cubii for 53 minutes - made my tea, looking a work emails, logging exercise for the past 2 weeks for a work "contest" - enjoyed reading outside in the sun on Saturday - yesterday afternoon and evening was spent on my OEY evaluation - writing reflections, adding artifacts and doing my self-appraisal. I lost track of how many hours I actually spent on it. going to take one last look this morning at my self-appraisal to be sure it make sense, no weird sentences or spelling and then will lock it,
After 3 1/2 months, I need to read the instruction manual for my Apple Watch - I often forget to turn it on - I'm not sure how to get it to record steps - I use "exercise other' for the Cubii and then "outside walk" for walking. It measures miles, calories, time. I can convert miles to steps but not calories.
Have a great Monday
-
Yesterday I went to Barre Sculpt & Yoga, today is Pound & Zumba.....plus dog walking.
-
Morning - been doing my Cubii for 1/2 hour already this morning - might go for another hour till 6:30 - or might stop sooner.
Have a good Tuesday.
-
Got a short 15 minute walk at work today then came home and 25 minute walk with DH. No walk this evening as it is a good steady rain- supposed to rain all night and tomorrow. Mountains are supposed to get snow.
Sweet dreams
-
Hiked with Bruno this morning and added the granddogs this afternoon. Barre Sculpt tonight.
-
I cycled for a bit yesterday morning (still so much to learn), then finished with upper body weight lifting. Today's technically a day off but I was feeling super stiff so I did an hour of deep stretch yoga. That still counts as a rest day in my book!
-
A perfect morning for the Walking Women, followed by a puppy hike. Zumba tonight.
-
Rain stopped mid morning so got a 10 minute walk while I scarfed lunch down. DH and I walked when I got him and we'll walk after dinner. Work days seem to be busier and busier. EOY went well. WE didn't have evaluations last year and 2 years ago my manager was my evaluator and she had everything completed. My evaluator did not it all completed, so it was more discussion which is okay. Once she is done , I have to approve it and write a comment or two.
Ruth - great photo. Who do you get to take photos of you all?
-
Sometimes we find a random stranger to take a picture, but mostly I just turn my phone camera to the selfie mode, prop it up, and set the timer (which what I did in this picture).
Here's from our hike.
