I am worried they found suspicious signs of malignancy . my mom had breast cancer 4 years ago same place same side . She has dementia now and I am her only caregiver

    Your mom is very lucky to have you. Hoping for a benign result! What were the suspicious findings? Did they assign a Birads Score?

    I'm not sure about your situation, but sometimes there is a very, very low risk of malignancy and yet so much worrying over something that will probably come back benign. On the other hand, when you've already experienced a breast cancer diagnosis in your family (and especially fairly recent) it can be very, very worrisome. Hugs

    My report came there is a 3.7 cm irregular asymetry with grouped calcification Her impression says suspicious of malignancy. Very disturbing I am really scared .

    Sorry you are dealing with this on top of caring for your mother! If the radiologist or report said suspicion of malignancy than it is understandable you're preparing yourself for that. Also, until they biopsy they cannot really know - still hoping benign for you... Please let us know, including if you have any questions.... we will try to answer and are great at support too!

    I had Mammo and yesterday a biopsy Mammo said Architectural distortion associated with the asymmetry suspecious for malignancy . I have dense tissue , had covid vaccine 3 weeds ago and had motorcycle accident 6 years ago with l breast injury and also catheder ablation surgery of heart and menaopause I am praying that no cancer and just scar tissue

    Wyfreak do you have a copy of the pathology report? It sounds like you had a diagnostic mammogram and then a biopsy after or as part of that? I"m a little confused.... If the latter is accurate they should know whether or not there is malignancy unless they have to send the sample off? It sounds like you already have biopsy results though? Can you please clarify so our feedback to you fits/is accurate for your situation? Thanks so much!

    My Biopsy results came today and all the 8 samples they took came back BENIGN . I have damage from my accident a few years ago . scar tissue and fat necrosis they was suspicious for malignancy based on shape . But mom having cancer need to do followups w reg mammos
