Mammogram tomorrow and I’m terrified
Hello,
So I am new here and I have a ton of questions but I’m going to refrain from asking them all. About 6 weeks ago I started having pain in one breast, it was constant. Fast forward to last week, I noticed I have dimpling below my nipple and when I push in I is sore. My breast feel really heavy and full and I feel it going up in the chest, just one the one side. I went to my gynecologist and she is sending me to a breast surgeon tomorrow and to get a mammogram. Since going to see her I noticed I have discharge but it’s only if I squeeze it ( I know I don’t know why I did that). The one breast with dimpling and pain is a milky clearish color and the other breast is more of a clear with a slight tint of yellow. It’s been 3 days since I went to my appointment so of course I have already self diagnosed myself with the help of Google but I still can’t seem to get it off my mind. Is there anyone that has gone through this and what could it be? I’m terrified and just want a sense of peace. Thought, encouragement, opinions, whatever would help me I feel....th

Marcia, I send all my good thoughts and wishes for you into the universe and I hope you will feel them. None of us here can diagnose you, nor can Dr. Google, but the breast surgeon will be able to give you some good information tomorrow, and once you have more info from the mammo. Until then, try to do the hardest thing possible and put your mind on something else.

Ditto MountainMia’s post. If self diagnosis via Dr. Google were considered a reliable and legitimate medical practice then why would anyone bother with real doctors? Seriously, you could start googling “mosquito bite” and probably convince yourself you were at deaths doostep in less than ten clicks!
No one can or should attempt to second guess what’s going on as we are not doctors nor have we examined you and your medical history. I would also advise against picking, squeezing, poking and prodding body parts in search of irregularities. It is not an easy thing to do but take a deep breath, distract yourself and stay away from Dr. Google. Take care.

Welcome Marcia! I agree with MountainMia as well.... Positive energy and gentle hugs sent..... So glad you have upcoming appointments to find out what is going on - it is a scary time - do what you can to distract as best you can until you can talk with the surgeon.... Please let us know how things go....

I definitely will keep everyone posted. The hardest part right now is the waiting game. My appointment isn’t until 4pm
