Tick bite, should I be concerned?

So probably an odd question and maybe not one anyone has experience with but I just discovered a bloodsucking tick slurping away on my back. A common thing here in Indiana but since I'm a week out from my last round of chemo, I'm wondering if I should see a doctor or be worried about Lyme disease. Little bastards. 🕷

I would reach out to your doc, they might want to do prophylactic antibiotics. I had lyme many years ago (rash and everything) and it was no biggie. Three weeks of doxycycline took care of it.

Definitely notify your MO. Don't freak out, but they would want to know, and as gb2115 said, perhaps prescribe prophylactically.

Thanks ladies for your advice. Called the after hours oncology and they did prescribe an antibiotic just to be safe. Now if I could only figure out where I picked up the monster. 🤔
