Hi,

I am 33 years old and have 2 children. I noticed a small lump about the size of a pea on the right upper outside right before the holidays. I forgot about it. I have fibrocystic breast. So breast pain is normal every month. 3 daya ago I took my bra off and had a huge lump ooping out the topside-ish part of my right breast! I'm like what the heck how did I not notice this until now! I got to my PCP the next day. He found 4 lumps: 2 in the upper outer part of my right breast and 1 deep in my armpit and 1 in between. I'm being sent for a diagnostic mammogram and U/S. I have had shoulder pain for quite some time. Also,my right nipple turned inverted after I breast feed my last child (4mths). About a year ago it started leaking clear to whitish fluid. Doctor said it was okay, no biggie. I notice a few months back my right nipple is no longer inverted and kind points north a little... I do have wierd lines that look like bruising, but its just lines... and the skin is red where the big lump is on my breast. Now that I think about it my right necks been aching for a while...

Does anyone have a similar story amd their outlook. I'm hoping it isjust a bunch of benign cysts! Thank you ladies, I've been on here for two days straight! You all are so awesome and supportive!

    Hi,

    I hope that your lumps just end up being benign cysts! Mostly here you'll hear from people whose lumps turned out to be cancer, but we are not representative of the general population of cysts.

    Hope they can get your scans scheduled quickly!

    Want to welcome you jb!!! I'm glad you have testing for the near future. Waiting for that day is hard as you're stating in your post - more worries like that until you hear something. Hopefully this turns out well for you though it does sound worrisome as OnTarget conveyed with both points as well.... You should get some news that day.... Do what you can to distract with the worry as best you can until your testing... Try to stay away from Google and Bing...

    Thank you, I am trying to stay busy and just remind myself that I have a history of cysts. I will keep this updated when I know more....

    I just wanted to update this posted. I have a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound today. I am nervous, but glad I do not have to wait any longer....

    update:

    They found two solid masses and 1 lump that might be a cyst. A couple swollen lymph nodes in my armpit. They are doing a biopsy on the three lumps in my breast and one of the lymph nodes in my armpit. Doctor said she was a little worried they might be cancerous.........

    Thanks for updating us jb! I hear the worry, esp. when your doc expresses concern too! Hopefully you'll get in for the biopsy soon so you know what you're dealing with. Let us know when you get a date. Hopefully you're distracting yourself well enough through this new news - likely on your mind near all the time though see what you can engage in to push it more towards the background.... This part is soooo hard.....!

    I have the biopsy appointment this coming Wednesday! Then 3-5 days for the results... thank you all..... it been difficult but I'm keeping my mind on other things
