I'm terrified!

I'm going to start off stating I have a strong family history. I'm 46 years old and 1st mammogram in 2016 that was good ( Scattered fibroglandular densities with nothing else found).

Went for another mammogram the end of March which this time said (heterogeneously dense breast tissue and asymmetrically prominent change in the upper outer right breast).

I do have issues of nipple being itchy, red and feels like it's burning but. I get so irritated. Same nipple I had this spot that looked like a blister but, wasn't months later it came out but, was more like a hard white sorta thing.

I have my follow up diagnostic testing with another mammogram/Ultrasound set up. I just don't understand how it changes for one density to another like that. Also, thought as you aged it was supposed to be a lesser density. Not even sure what the asymmetrically prominent change means.

Hi Aashaki...I noticed that you had not yet received a response to your post, so I just want to reach out and say hello and to encourage you to take a few, slow breathes and try your best not to get ahead of yourself. Believe, I know, it is hard not to let your mind start to spin down all kinds of dark rabbit holes. It sounds like you are set up for the next step to getting some answers, so that is good. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will post soon with some advice about your situation. I found that it helped to stay busy and active while waiting and to just concentrate on the moment...each of them.. one at a time. Take care.
