Hi Community,

first time poster here. I've been reading some posts on here and I really find this forum helpful for coping with my anxiety.

Just wanted to know if anyone has had an experience like me with biopsy.

I'm 49 and this year was my first year going through my screening mammogram. On the first mammogram, I was told to come back because they've found a change in my left breast. I was already petrified because I thought it was going to be OK.

In the second exam, I got another mammogram and an ultrasound of my left breast. The radiologist told me they found a lesion of 1cm and after taking a closer look at it on the US, she said "she would not worry too much if she was me" and that it's "a sheep among wolves". However, she still suggested I go through with biopsy since she wanted to be 100% sure it's nothing bad.

I'm due to get results today and it's been a rough week. My family is stressed out and so am I, because I keep thinking about it too much. And it certainly doesn't help looking on the Internet - the more I read, the more I dread the results. However, since finding this forum, I've seen some encouraging posts.

Just wondering if anyone had the same experience.

Thanks!
