Question about mammogram reports

I just went through a screening mammogram, call back, and then a diagnostic mammogram. Thankfully, I was told everything looks good! I was given Birads 2 after diagnostic mammogram. My question is about the possible inconsistencies in my screening and diagnostic mammogram reports, copied and pasted, below.

The radiologist seem to be referring to two different locations in my rt breast. Should I 1) assume all is fine regardless and trust that the radiologist looked closely at all noted areas? Or 2) Should I call and ask why the radiologist doing the diagnostic mammogram didn't mention the same area as was noted in the screening? I'm not trying to overthink this, but of course wanted to have complete peace with this process. What would you do? Thank you!

Screening

CLINICAL INDICATION: Screening.

TECHNIQUE: Bilateral digital screening mammogram with 2D and tomosynthesis.
Computer-Aided Detection was utilized.

DENSITY: There are scattered areas of fibroglandular density.

FINDINGS: Focal distortion is seen in the 9:00 subareolar right breast. In
2014, patient had a lateral subareolar duct excision, and she has had some
focal distortion in this area on prior mammograms since the surgery.
However, today the distortion appears more pronounced. This may be
secondary to positional differences and likely accentuated by the 3-D
imaging technique compared with prior 2-D studies. However, additional
imaging evaluation is advised to exclude a more worrisome infiltrating
process. There are no suspicious changes in the left breast.

Diagnostic

EXAM: MAMMO DIAGNOSTIC W TOMO RIGHT

DATE OF EXAM: 3/23/2021 10:33 AM.

COMPARISON EXAMS: 3/17/2021 and 4/08/2019 and exams dating back to 2013.

CLINICAL INDICATION: Distortion right breast. History of excisional biopsy
right breast in 2014.

TECHNIQUE: MAMMO DIAGNOSTIC W TOMO RIGHT.

DENSITY: There are scattered areas of fibroglandular density.

MAMMO FINDINGS: There is distortion in the upper outer portion of the right
breast anteriorly from prior surgery which appears unchanged. It is
unchanged from tomograms from 2019. With focal compression it appears less
prominent.

I think basically the first mammo result said, there is a distortion in the right breast which is probably just because of how the breast was mushed this time, but to be on the safe side we should take another look and double-check this area on a different day. Diagnostic today said we took another look and then we compared the other images and nothing weird is showing up.

    Woo hoo!

I agree with whatayear.... the 2nd look did not lead to any changes and thus no concerns. With Birads 2 the radiologist has no worry. Best to you!

Thank you. Yes, regardless of the "area of interest" they were looking at, it all looked benign, which is the main thing. It's also a little puzzling that I didn't have surgery in the "upper outer portion", but rather near the nipple. Hmmm. Oh well, benign is what matters. :) Thanks for the replies!
