Wednesday Weigh In

Hi Ladies, hopefully it is ok for me to join you all. I have been on a yo-yo scale since who knows how long. Trying to take this more serious now because when Covid is over, I would like to go see my sponsored children in Rwanda. (I went 2 years ago and met my first child and her family).
Anyway - I'm up 4 pounds since last week and started writing down what I eat - have a dietician that says if you write it down you own it... I need all the help I can get!
-
You are more than welcome. I found writing everything down helped. I was dx with high blood sugar - not high enough to be diabetes yet. I lost weight and each time I was tempted, I thought 'is this cupcake worth an insulin shot in the future?' Quite often I decided not to eat it.
-
Welcome, Gma!

Down 1lb this week. It is reeeeally hard to lose weight. We had a family birthday this week, so I took a day off from my careful eating plan ate cake and also had some ice cream. The next day, the scale was up 4lb (that was Saturday). Since then I have been super strict, so it proves that you can have the occasional treat, as long as it is only once in a while, and as long as you pay for it. I am planning to keep being ultra strict for the next couple of weeks and my husband is going to do the same, which helps a lot. As soon as one of us breaks the diet, we both will

Down .2
Hope to get outside/away from work and enjoy this 60 degree day after tooooo much cold. TT
-
I am up 3 pounds from the 15th (day of my carpal tunnel surgery). This is no surprise as I did not eat at all healthy last week. I was actually up far more than 3 a few days ago. However, I have been doing great the last few days. It feels good to be back on track. But gosh darn it is so hard to lose weight and stinks having to be so strict with my eating.
-
I'm up 1.5 from last week. Not good.
-
An old friend & I are starting a diet bet. Every Wednesday, if either of us hasn't lost weight (or at least stayed the same), we have to put $5 in a kitty and will donate the proceeds (which will hopefully be slim) to a local charity walk/run in June. Hopefully this will give us both more accountabilty.
-
Love it Ruth!

Been a while since I've been here, but have been doing quite well with my weight. DH and I restarted WW online, and as of yesterday I am 1lb away from my goal weight of 140, which will finally put me in a healthy BMI. I was 125 when I got married, and my high weight was 171 back in 2010. Now I need to add more movement and stretching back into my routine.
-
Good for you Pat!
-
I stayed the same from last week to this one however I also decided to partake in some celebratory cupcakes! I may have also stopped through a drive by to two for French fries but it was worth it. I can sort of fit into a couple pair of work slacks without looking stuffed (though it feels that way).
-
Ugh up 1.3
-
Down .5 this emotional eating is a real struggle.
-
Down 2 from last Wed. I have no idea why. Yesterday all I wanted to do was eat.
-
Same as last week.
-
Down 2.5lbs (and down 6lb this year, and down over 20lbs from my lock down high last summer). But Gma Foley, I agree wholeheartedly, it is really difficult. It's a big commitment to keep the weight down. Easier now that it is light in the mornings, I can go for a little ride on my bicycle before starting work, which puts me in a good mood for the day. I'm also doing a bit of light weight lifting a couple of times a wee. But mainly I'm restricting my eating dramatically. It seems to be the only way. All of my clothes feel so much more comfortable now!
-
It appears that I'm doing a Thursday weigh in the past couple of weeks. I am down another pound this week from last. Total since starting -8.5lb, 11.5 more to go. On the plus side that is including Chinese take out last weekend. Yum. Though otherwise getting in my veggies, squash and sweet potatoes, also yum. Starting to fit better in my clothes with a wee bit of stuffing yet
-
ooops after doing really well for nearly a year, I reached my target weight on Saturday but since then have been going a bit crazy and as a result I have added 7lbs since last week. Unbelievable how quickly this has happened. Wednesday weigh in is a great wake up call. Back to the restrictive diet... except it’s my birthday this week so I might wait until after that
-
Scot, it was my birthday last week which is why I didn't post. Yikes! Down 1 of those celebration pounds.
-
up .4
which surprisingly doesn't feel that bad after last week's big gain....is slowing down moving in the right direction? sounds like the titanic ;-)
Enjoy this spring weather if it is coming your way. Today we have the second of four days supposed to be in the 70's.
-
Up and down the last couple of weeks, but today was finally rewarded with my WW goal weight of 140! But psychology is a funny thing, now that I hit my goal weight (down 16 lbs from covid high), I feel like I can eat anything I want - and we all know what happens then! I have been snacking all morning, and I AM NOT EVEN HUNGRY. So difficult to maintain. Weather getting nicer so have added walking to my daily routine.
-
Happy Birthday ScotBird!!
I am down 1 pound.
-
I'm up 2 which is no surprise. Brought it on myself.
-
belated Happy birthday, Ruth and and advanced birthday greetings, scotbird!
Re-started strength training which gets my appetite up so have gained, muscle hopefully. Have to really watch what I eat now cuz I think it went to my belly though.
Saw an article on ketogenic vs. low fat diet. Not much difference in results after a while but early on easier to lose weight on keto.
-
Congratulations, Pat! You may have inspired me to rejoin WW online.
-
Down 1
-
thanks for the birthday wishes - much cake was eaten but luckily I didn't go too crazy the rest of the week
-
Down 1.
-
I completely forgot to weigh in today. In fact, for some reason, I thought it was Thursday. I will catch up next week.
