Recommendations for Oncologist in Sydney

Hi

Can anyone recommend a good Oncologist in Sydney. Every time I go to my onc I am kept waiting, and waiting. Today I waited for 75 mins, for an appointment that was scheduled for noon. I understand they are busy, but I just feel that is unacceptable. The reception even texts a few days prior to confirm the appointment. I think it might be time for a change. Any suggestions welcome. Thank

    hi new norm,

    there is a topic called Australian sisters on this site. If you search for it and maybe post there. It is not very active but I would imagine other Australians have it marked as a favourite. Otherwise you might get some direction posting on Facebook. I’m a member of pink sisters Australia and New Zealand. Maybe try there.

    NewNorm - I am not in Australia, but I wanted to add my experience.

    I based my entire treatment on the MO that I really wanted & dearly loved (he has since retired). He spent as much time with EVERY patient as they needed - including me. I always scheduled my appointment for the last one of the day. Frequently he was an hour+ behind. But I knew that every single person had his whole concentrated attention all day, every day. That was extremely valuable to me.

    I would not put up with that for other docs, but my MO was a true gem.
