Hi all, I’ve been lurking for about a week but am ready to say hi and join the community. I have a biopsy scheduled for Wednesday after finding micro calcifications at my dx mammogram (findings below). I’m hopeful for benign but expecting otherwise.

Incremental diagnostic views confirm a segmental distribution of similar-morphology pleomorphic microcalcifications in the upper outer left breast, spanning 4.3 cm AP x 3.0 cm T x 3.2 cm CC. These begin ~1.3 cm from the base of the nipple and extend posteriorly.

No additional suspicious findings seen.

IMPRESSION:

IMPRESSIONS:

LEFT BREAST: BI-RADS 4; SUSPICIOUS

1. A 4.3 x 3.0 x 3.2 cm segmental distribution of pleomorphic microcalcifications in the upper outer quadrant is suspicious for malignancy. Tissue diagnosis should be obtained unless clinically contraindicated. Tomosynthesis guided representative sampling should be obtained.
