Hope all of you are ok.

Now i am on Aromasin hormone therapy around 2.5 years. Last 2 months i found that my blood prrssure is around 170/115. I have no family history at all, i took lucrin 3.75 pda one a month for 3 years and zometa.

Did any one face blood pressure with Aromasin?

Hi Hope. I have no experience with Aromasin, but according to this article it could impact your blood pressure... https://www.breastcancer.org/treatment/side_effects/high_blood_press Have you discussed with your MO? Good luck to you.

Yes, I am on Aromasin and all the sudden my BP was high, it lasted for a few months and got back to normal on its own, also same thing with my glucose levels and cholesterol, high sometimes but return to normal values on its own.

I've always had slightly low blood pressure. I started Letrozole last March, and in the fall my BP started creeping up. In December, I started getting bad headaches that wouldn't go away, and one day I just hurt all over.... not really pain but I just felt really awful. I took my BP and it was 172/110. I got in with my PCP that day and she did a full bloodwork up Which came back perfect except my creatinine levels were elevated. She said this happens with high blood pressure.

BP that high is dangerous, especially if it stays that high. With the symptoms I had the day I saw her, She was on the fence about sending me to the hospital for monitoring until the meds could get it under control.

She put me on lisinopril hctz (BP med and a mild diuretic) and my BP has gone back to normal. She said that the elevated BP is a side effect of the letrozole (AI). Now I just have to make sure to stay hydrated because the diuretic can cause dehydration which messes with potassium and calcium levels.

I have to say, with all the joint aches, the weight gain, and now the BP issues, I really hate having to take the AI. My QOL has taken a nose dive.
