Second opinion

Hi everyone,

I am interested to find out if anyone can recommend in Ontario and online source to get a second opinion on my treatment (free of charge if possible).

I see many sites that offer a second opinion, but I want a reliable source. Due to COVID I don't want to physically go, and since my treatment will start soon, I need this quite urgently.

    I don't know of any on-line sources in Ontario but you certainly can request to see another MO. Where are you located in Ontario and at which hospital is your current medical team located? If it's a centralized cancer hospital for the region, you are not likely to hear anything new or different from a second opinion but if you are in an area that has several hospitals with full cancer departments, you can ask to see an MO at a different hospital. For a second opinion, the new doctor would need the full history and all test and imaging results. With that, these days the appointment might be a tele-appointment.
