Good morning! I was diagnosed last March 2020 with Left Breast Cancer Stage 1A, and had a lumpectomy and 4 weeks of radition. I am 44, almost 45 and my OC started me on a monthly injection of Zoladex and I started on Letrozole, but I was having bad side effects from it, so she stopped me for two weeks and started Anastrozole back in September. I am now starting to notice little changes in my body. I am starting to get a little lower leg swelling on my right ankle (I sprained this leg a few years ago), and i'm starting to notice little dark brown little tiny pellet like maybe one every few days or so, so i've increased my water intake and not drinking sparkling water everyday like I use to do before. I am taking Terbinafine HCL 250MG since this pass Sunday for 7 days then 3 week break and 7 days again next month then 3 weeks break and so on....Yesterday I noticed that there's now a little bit of puffy/swelling on the right side around my neck by my thyroid. Has one had any random swelling and or urine pellet/crystal while on Hormonal Therapy?

No I haven’t had those se. Get in to your MO or PCP as soon as you can. We do try to blame or wonder about our cancer treatments, a lot of times it’s something else, unrelated.

Yes, I have been in contact with my OC nurse and I have my Annual Physical appointment in 2 weeks with my PCP. I just was curious if others by have been having these symptoms.

I think you should consult your doctor for all these symptoms.

hormonal therapies can cause urinary tract infections and vaginitis because of the changes they cause in the genital tissue. So that may be a cause of the urine changes. A urine test will probably be ordered if you're having any sort sediment or crystallization in your urine.

Hormonal therapies can also cause edema - water retention - in legs. But this can also be cause by many other things - heart problems, liver problems (and the anti fungal medication you're on can cause changes in liver function), so a doctor should investigate.

Swelling near your thyroid could be the thyroid or a lymph node there. Again, a dr needs to look at it.

See your doctor and let us know what they think

Yeah i've been taking notes for sure! I will keep everyone posted. I just started taking the fungal medicine for a toenail fungus this pass Sunday. During my last physical last year, I was told I had scattered colliod benign cysts along my thyroid and to just have it checked yearly, so that's also due for me to have checked. I'm sure my PCP will have me check it again. I also saw an Endocrinologist back in July for my Thyroid also.
