Hi Ladies. Hope you're all well.

I have had my Foobs since 2015 and have not had any real issues. Starting yesterday, the skin on the inner side of my left foob is ITCHING LIKE CRAZY! Nonstop. I've tried Hydrocortisone and Solarcaine with Aloe.

Has this happened to anyone else? I should say that I did remain a lot of feeling in my boobs after my double mastectomy. I have no nipples, so it's certainly not sexy fun time, but I can feel my clothes on them, tell when they're touched, etc.

If this has happened to you, please shoot me a note back.

Thank you!!

-Amy

Hi Amy, -- thank you for sharing..

I'm up this evening because my foob is itching me like crazy and I was looking to see if anyone on the DIEP Flap side had any specific maybe if having this type of reconstruction causesmore of an itch to happen?? But I think reconstruction period itches!

Im only a little.over a year out of my BX w/Diep flap reconstruction. Consensus: it is nerve regeneration. I try putting on things like cbd oil to relax it them. Learned that from people with bad eczema. Im also on neurontin (gabapentin) 3 times a day although I only take 2 at night because it seems like that is the worst time. I also find wearing a bra (which i actually have to do because I don't have nipples and my scars are a little larger and visible and mine feel like hanging boobs) helps a lot. When it is really bad.. compression bra. Im feeling like it is the nerves because my flap scar also itches with the annoying itch you can't scratch. But the foob is so much deeper it seems so sometimes I wonder could it be anything else perhaps..maybe phantom pain??

I hope this helps some..This forum is great and if you come up with anything helpful..please send. We are in this together!

I had that happen with my tissue expanders after mastectomy. I'm usually great at controlling itching, but this was off the hook! I caught myself scratching them at work in front of a male coworker!

As soon as my TEs were exchanged, it went away.

I have a new TE after and infection and no itching so far.

I'm thinking it is an allergy, but who knows, it could be nerve regeneration!
