I very recently started using a Flextouch. I was using a different brand that just had an arm sleeve. I hope to get with a trainer in near future to make sure it is fitting correctly. I talked briefly to one, and she mentioned zoom as an option for the COvid times. Just not sure if she could get a good idea over zoom on my questions on fit an snuggness. Particularly in the shoulder area, it feels like I've put on the huge shoulder pads that football players wear. I did mention to her that it was much more gentle than the other device. Her thought were that they are finding out that sometimes less (pressure) is better. I'm just not sure it is working as well as the other device. It could be that the lymphedema is getting worse, independent of the device. Also, I went for 10 days this fall without doing anything while camping. It may be that manual massage did more than I give it credit for. I was doing manual, often 2x day.

BlueGirl - What type of pump did you have before? I was supposed to get a Flexi-Touch in 2019 but the rep I don't think wanted to come out to our rural area so he out and out lied to me and said he had not been contacted by my lymphedema therapist who showed me the email that they had been in contact. I ended up getting a stage 4 diagnosis so the idea of getting a pump was on the back burner for a while. The last radiation I had to do on my collarbone in Feb-March 2020 has made my lymphedema worse. My lymphedema therapist is yet again trying to get me a pump but this time was trying to go through Sun Medical and wanted to get me a sequential pump instead of the Flexi-Touch. If anyone else who has knowledge on how well they like one pump versus another would kindly share their experience, I would greatly appreciate it.
