Brain MRI in an hour
Comments

I haven’t been here in ages. Since Christmas, I’ve been having headaches pretty much every day. Pre-breast cancer, I had issues with migraines but they disappeared when I went into chemopause. I called my oncologist and she immediately scheduled me for a brain MRI today. I’ve been trying to view this as the 1st step in getting my perfectly normal headaches resolved but I’m really stressing today. First, I put on jeans then I remembered no metal so I switched to yoga pants. All the MRI angst is back.
Fingers crossed.

Best wishes and good luck Flynn. I hope they get your (hopefully benign) headaches sorted out
-
Fingers crossed here too. Good luck!
-
Wishing you the best Flynn! Keep us posted please....
-
Good luck! Hoping they are able to rule out anything and you have to keep hunting down the mystery!!
-
my fingers and toes are crossed that you are back here ASAP to tell us that your brain is very unremarkable on the MRI!
-
Flynn,
🤞 and toes crossed for you too. Let us know how it went

Thanks for the supportive comments, ladies! Everything checked out fine.
I got a message pretty quickly that the mri was good and that my internist could see me Wed afternoon to discuss it further. I was very happy about good results but wasn’t sure what to make of the note that said we’d discuss the mri further. So I went in yesterday and we just reviewed the report and then discussed the headaches in much more depth. I had labs run which also were good. Now, I have a script for some meds.I’ll be heading back to my MO in 3 weeks for my 4 year appointment. Feeling very thankful.

FLYNN that's wonderful news. I'm sort of going thru the same thing. It's been mostly my back, and I've been having headaches that don't seem to go away. Started earlier this month. I am having plugged ears, mucous (clear not colored) and these stupid headaches. My doctor is now focusing on getting a head CT!
Why can't she just say it's my sinuses!?
I am so happy for you. I'll keep you in my prayers. Since you said you had experienced Migraines maybe it's related? I have a good feeling your gonna be just fine.
BIG HUGS!

Hoping you get answers for your headache and that it's a benign answer.

wonderful news!!!!! So happy your MRI was good !

Hi Flynn
I meant to ask you what the doctor said about your headaches. Did he end up prescribing something?
Thanks,
Lexie
