Spookiesmom - Oh how precious they look!

So cute!
-
Spookiesmom your dogs look so adorable

Nugget is crashed out in my lap after helping supervise me sweep and mop my kitchen floor.

Merry Christmas from Dozer!

Merry Christmas from Nugget
-
Merry Christmas from Tippy. He likes to play possum second only to the game called "skool". Going for walks in the summertime is second only to taking an unsupervised romp around the neighborhood.
Did that work?
-
The pic didn’t show😢. See the icon that looks like mountain? Try using that, would love to see your boy.
-
Love all the xmas doggie pics how sweet they are!
-
Nugget sure enjoyed his first Christmas.

I love all the photo's!!!! My Christmas card this year had puppies on it, mostly because I want one! I almost adopted a Cavalier King Charles spaniel rescue dog I fostered a couple of years ago. She was so sweet, but I realized after having her a short time, that she wasn't going to do well with me. She had come from an abusive breeder/multiplier and she really needed to go to a home with another dog, to help her learn how to be a "spoiled" pet. There was a couple who wanted her and had another KCS, so while I was given the chance to adopt (and at one point thought I would), I gave her up so she could have a better home.
So, what is holding me back from getting a dog? Money. It seems every time I get our emergency savings account gets up to a comfortable amount, we have an emergency that wipes most of it out. This year it went to a clogged drain pipe leading from the washer! Ugh.
I guess it is like having kids, if I waited until I thought I could afford them, I would never have had them! I think as soon as the pandemic seems somewhat controlled and my husband and I are vaccinated, I will get a new fur baby!
Until then, pictures of your pups are always enjoyed!
Happy New Year to All!

Maverick there’s lots of dogs in shelters who need a fur ever home. Sometimes pure breed, some mixed. None have the outrageous prices breeders demand. Check out pet finders in your area. That’s where I found Spookie. Kris is a rescue, my groomer works with a rescue, and was fostering him.
-
Maverick, my dog Nugget is a Dachshund Mix. We got him from a rescue. The only way I would get a purebred like my previous dog, a Sheltie, is from a reputable and responsible breeder

lol
Sitting watching a bowl game and I didn’t like what happened during a play and I yelled a naughty word and poor Nugget got jolted out of a sound sleep because of it. He gave me the “stink eye” before he went back to sleep.
-
Jumping back in after a brief hiatus (unintentional but work gets busy!) and so loved seeing all the cute pics of Nugget and Tippy and others and that indoor plumbing is hilarious!
Rah and Micmel - hugs to you, our senior pups are all together across the rainbow bridge now. Micmel - Pomeranians make amazing therapy dogs if you’re considering that!
Mavericksmom - I agree with others that a shelter is a great way to adopt a dog and for less expense. Tucker was a border collie mix rescue from a shelter, an amazing dog, took it upon himself to protect me and “the pack” and lived to 18.
Anyways, Happy New Year to my fellow paw moms and dads! Here are some holiday pics from Domino and Finley.

❤️❤️❤️

Pebbles Happy New Year to you and yours as well! Thanks for the hugs and the gorgeous pics of your pack
-
My DD had this made for me. It sits with his ashes. But looks exactly like him.
-
Micmel your hubs wins the hubby of the year award for that how lovely. And of course your Tag what a beautiful sweet boy. I think he is with you still, just out of sight.
-
Beautiful gift and memory Micmel.
-
Very nice Micmel!
-
Mel, I love that!
We had our (mostly) sweet boy Jeeves put to sleep last Tuesday. The only good part was that we found a wonderful vet who came to our home. He went to sleep on our back deck and not in a sterile emergency clinic like our last two Airedales did. It didn't make it hurt any less, but this vet was so tender and caring. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.
Run free, Jeeves - and please don't tell Theo or Oliver that you got to sleep on the loveseat!
-
I'm so sorry Sunshine.
-
Thank you Jack5ie. I just noticed the crooked lampshade! He probably knocked it crooked when he got up on the loveseat.
-
He was a lucky dog and that might be too big a secret not to share with Theo and Oliver. Tearfully, I too say run free. The black and white photo is amazing.
-
Sunshine I am deeply sorry for your loss of Jeeves. What a beautiful boy. So glad you were able to set him free at home surrounded by the people and smells that he loved.
-
So sorry about your Jeeves.
Staring making a little blanket for Nugget to sleep under when he naps
-
Sunshine I am so sorry for your loss.
Jeeves will look after you from heaven.
