I have been cancer free for 3 years now. Went December 21 for yearly mammogram and was told everything was normal. 2 days later I noticed a hard pea size lump right under my incision scar. It started as itchy and painful but now just pain if I push on it. Since my results from the mammogram just came back normal is this something I should worry about or could it possibly be fat necrosis? Has anyone ever had something similar happened. Kinda scared

I'm still too soon after surgery (about 4 months) to have had that experience and I won't be undergoing mammograms again (BMX). You may hear from some others who experienced what you are going through now. I just want to send support. More importantly I'm hoping you call either your BS, MO or OBGYN whomever you work with most closely/feel most comfortable with and let them know what you're noticing. It may be benign or nothing concerning though I'd hope a manual exam could help sort that out. I had some lumpy bumpy spots. I had my primary care's P.A. check out while I was there for something else. She thought it was scar tissue. Let one of your docs know esp. with your history.... Hopefully all comes back well though please check back in.
