Burning sensation/armpit

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone had experienced burning sensations in their armpit and it turned out to be innocent?

I had a double mastectomy in August 2018. No rads, no chemo. Currently on tamoxifen. I started experiencing burning/discomfort in the armpit on the non-cancer side that was noticeable - cannot pin point an exact date but I was seen in March 2020- no lumps found on exam. Had ultrasound for reassurance and that was fine too.

Also saw my MO and BS in October for my check-up and they were not concerned. Nothing found on exam and they basically said armpit pain is one of the top complaints.

Has anyone had something similar?

Armpit pain is one of the top complaints. Yes, I've had pain/pinching feeling off and on for a long time that comes from the non-cancer underarm. I had reduction surgery on that side in Nov 2019. The part that has this sensation is not near the skin scars. However, there is a lot of damage that is done to other tissue and nerves during surgery, and the consequence is pain of various types.

I'm sorry you're uncomfortable. I hope it stops, but I do expect it's completely normal.
