Trying to get an opinion before going to get it checked

I've had this under my left breast for about 2 or 3 months at first I thought it was just like a pimple from sweat and just wasn't ready to pop and now it's been purple and is starting to get sore. I don't know what breast cancer looks like or anything so I am just not sure what to do and I don't have insurance so any thoughts?

    We are all breast cancer patients. We are not doctors or medical professionals and are not qualified to make any sort of diagnosis. There is no one way that breast cancer looks in general, it is most often felt inside breast tissue but not always. Often when people see something pimple or rash like on the breast, it turns out to be a dermatology issue. So,I have two suggestions for you. The first would be to call your local hospital, American Cancer Society etc. and explain your situation. They can guide you to resources for uninsured folks. They may also be able to aim you toward free or low cost dermatology care. My second suggestion is to stay away from Google. BCO members are not medical professionals but Google is a really terrible diagnostic tool. We have a lot of collective personal experience and are happy to support you but we are not diagnosticians.     Do you have a family doctor? You probably should start there. From your description this sounds more like a skin condition than a breast condition, and your family doc might be able to diagnose it or recommend that you see a dermatologist. You don't have insurance so you don't want to waste money going down the wrong path, which might be the case if you pursue breast screenings for what turns out to be a skin condition.

    I realize not all areas have free clinics though that is another resource to check on.....

    Yes, like LivinLife said, free clinics in your area might be available.
