Worried!!
hi everyone.. my anxiety is getting the best of me and I started googling and found this site..
just figured I’d try and post my first time so here goes!
I am overweight 260-270 .. and I’ve noticed now that my breast are covered in tiny little veins and looks speckled all around the veins .. they are on BOTH breast so I try to ease my mind with that some but still freaking out! I’ve tried googling pics and it doesn’t help .. my gynecologist can’t see me till Jan 6 so my anxiety is still super high! I do have an appt with a dermatologist on Monday ... it can’t get here fast enough.. sorry if im rambling I’m so nervous.. a few months ago I did have an episode of really itchy spots on both breast and they turned very very very red .. could this just be from scratching to hard?? I’ve also noticed when I take a bath or shower they get really light and turn a light blush color on the skin but when I don’t have a bra on they’re really dark and make my breast appear a dark purple color .. any suggestions or anything to easy my mind please!!

Welcome Snb! I'm glad you found us. I honestly don't have any idea. I'm glad you have an appointment with derm Monday! That is close now while it feels like a month away I'm sure. I'm glad you made an appointment with gyn too even if that is further out. If derm indeed believes there is reason for concern they will make a recommendation for something to happen within a reasonable time-frame. Even Jan. 6 is not too far away at this point, esp. given the holidays where everything gets backed up a little bit more. What is important is doing what you can to get through these next several days as best you can. You will have worry so distracting, other ways of coping as best you can is really important or it all just gets worse. There are some "lighter" forums/threads on this site - dogs, cats, humor, word games, etc. that could help towards that end. I'd have you think about other things you have at home too.... while validating your worry too.... Please let us know once you've met with derm, ok?

The derm sounds like the appropriate doctor. If you can't get a handle on the anxiety, perhaps your PCP would issue a presctiption. But the best thing to to is walk, or binge watch TV or get into a project like sorting all your old photos. Please do update us.
