I had a biopsy this morning, after screening mammo, diagnostic mammo & ultrasound identified a suspicious new cluster of pleomorphic microcalcifications, BIRADS 4.

I will meet with the breast surgeon next week to discuss results.

I don’t really know what pleomorphic means and what the probability is that this type of calcifications can be benign.

I will be 52 yrs old next wk...a benign result would be the best bday gift ever!

    Thanks for the birthday wishes! I will read through the articles shared by the moderators. I am relieved to have the biopsy over with, as I'm a bit scared of needles! But I think that this whole experience is going to force me to face all kinds of fears and also force me to conquer them! I keep reminding myself that this is an opportunity to model to my 3 daughters how to face obstacles in life. One day, I want to look back on this time and be proud of the way I handled myself (even if it includes tears and fears!) Lol

    I really like the positive self-talk you're working on! It will help you a lot and be good modeling for your kids. Remember to model it's ok to have feelings too - the modeling is then also what you do to cope with them... feelings are real and you have a right to them : )
