Hello!

I just received my addendum and says my Cancer is ER+, PR+ HER2+... it is stage one as far as size and grade 3. I have not really heard much about tripple positive. I go to my surgeon to discuss in 2 days but has anyone else had this diagnosis?

Thank you,

Jill from Joplin, MO

Sorry you have to join us, there is an active Triple Positive thread, linked below. Her2+ breast cancer happens in about 15-20% of diagnosed breast cancer patients, with I believe about an even split of hormonal receptors, so roughly one in ten patients is triple positive. Those of us who post on the linked thread offer support and info to our fellow triple positives. Please ask questions!

    Hi!

Yes, join us on the Triple Positive Thread. Just to prepare you --- your medical team will probably recommend chemo for your cancer as HER2+ cancer is aggressive. They may recommend Taxol + Herceptin (and possibly Perjeta), which is typically given for 12 consecutive weeks. I did THP, and found it much easier than my first chemo (Adriamycin + Cytoxan). But, everyone is different!

Your tumor is small (5 mm), but 5 mm of HER2+ cancer is when oncologists start talking chemo. It sucks, but it is what it is. ((Hugs))
