Weird symptoms

Hello all, I would love some advice.
I’m 35 years old and have a history of BC on my dad’s side of the family. About 5 weeks ago I noticed some weird symptoms in my left breast. First I was taking a shower and my left breast felt weird- just an odd sensation- like a fullness and a bit of pain. My nipple was also weirdly sensitive. I also noticed the veins in that breast were more prominent. I did a self breast exam and could not find a lump. This all occurred on the day before I started my period. It didn’t go away after my period so I saw my OB. He wasn’t too worried but wanted a mammogram and U/S. Got those done- both normal however my left breast still feels the same. I’m not sure what the next step is. I’m supposed to go back to my OB next month but I’m not sure it’s smart to wait... is there another test they could do? Any advice would be appreciatedThank you!!!

Worrywart, those 2 procedures are a good place to start. Since they were both negative, it seems like you're safe waiting until you see your OB next month. (But, of course, I'm not a doctor!) Both of my cancers presented as lumps and they were clearly evident in the U/S.
Let us know how things go when you see your OB.

Thank you for your reply, Sunshine99. I was relieved that my tests came back fine but it’s unsettling that my symptoms have not changed. I just need to not think about it, easier said then done. I will keep you posted!

The radiologist who was answering questions here for a while said mammogram plus ultrasound together are somewhere in the neighborhood of 95% effective at finding anything worrisome.

thank you, Melissa. That does make me feel better

I had a mammogram in July and another in August cause I have dense breast tissue, and later a mri that found many small cysts all looked to be benign. So a few days ago I was taking a ponytail off while undressing and see a deep line, like dimpling, going down the side of my breast. I thought it was a indention from my clothes but later on that day after work, it was still there. Took pics sent to my doctor and asked if this was normal, Dr wanted to see me today or Friday. Missed today cause I worked. So guess lll find out then. I am 49 and work in health field never seen that before. Concerned but not worrying til they tell me something to be worried about. Ok...a little worried.

Welcome WorryWart! I agree you are likely good to go until your appointment. It's a short time given the mammo and u/s were normal. Obviously if anything new occurs call/message them sooner.
Lilbirdie - I'm glad you called your doc soon after noticing something new! Please let us know how the appointment goes... (still Friday?).
