Any success stories after implant infection

Hi ladies,

I’m looking for some encouragement. I had my exchange surgery on Sept 22, and developed an infection 4 weeks later, possible due to infected sutures that would not dissolve. After 5 days of IV antibiotics, and 3 weeks of antibiotics, I feel a lot of stiffness and hardening in that breast implant. My PS said he believes the infection was superficial and thinks it’s just residual inflammation that will take a few months to drain ( since i had lymph nodes removed on that side). I’m getting more and more worried that I’m going to lose the implant and won’t have other reconstruction options (I’m too thin for a flap procedure). Any similar experiences out there that ended with good results? Would love to hear you’re stories.
