Paget's Question: Skin pulling off breast

Thank you for this forum. About 10 days ago, a piece of skin next to my right nipple pull off when I removed my bra. The resulting raw spot (about the size of a pencil eraser) was very itchy. I applied anti-itch cream followed by cortisone cream followed by antibiotic ointment. I saw my ob-gyn today. He does not think it is Paget's -- but it will be more than two months before I can get a mammogram because of the covid backlog. Has anyone else ever experienced skin coming off an area of the breast (next to the nipple but not on the nipple)?

Maybe you should see a dermatologist, who can do a punch biopsy if necessary.

That's one of the options we discussed. The ob-gyn wants me to continue to try cortisone cream and see whether I have continued healing. If not, he will schedule an appointment with a dermatologist. Thank you.
