Fantastic news arabiansroc. I am now 3 weeks post radiation...redness faded to tan and after 2 weeks I started to exfoliate. The "orange peel" is almost gone and the tan is fading back to my normal skin tone. I feel extremely fortunate that the side effects weren't as bad as I had read about. I have continued my skin care regimen and I think that really helped. Fatigue finally kicked in a few days post treatment and now, at 3 weeks, it is starting to get better. Hope things continue to go well for you.

I have a bottle of Tamoxifen in my closet. We agreed I would start with 10 mg daily and discuss SE after a few weeks. I was supposed to start on the 12th but just couldn't bring myself to take it. I am waiting to speak with my MO as I also found out I tested positive for several clotting factors, which now has me worried about clots.

    Best of luck to everyone.

Hi Ginamarie it sounds like you are recovering really well! I am glad to hear the orange peel look does get better. The fatigue set in for me on Sat. I can barely keep my eyes open for the last 3 days. I can understand being concerned about clotting factors in combination with taxoxifen. I think the alternative is lupron + an AI. Did the dr say anything about how to mitigate risks from the clotting factors? A baby aspirin a day?

I wish you the best in talking to your MO about this. Hopefully you have a dr who is willing to think outside the box.

    take care and stay safe.

Hi Ladies - I hope you are all recovering well from your radiation therapy. My fatigue is mostly gone, since I am chronically exhausted it is kind of hard to tell if it is completely gone, lol. The redness from my whole breast treatment is gone, but my boost area turned quite red, and now is turning black. Which is a bit concerning but it doesn't hurt so I am not too worried. Swelling and discomfort are mostly gone. Glad this step is over with. Take care everyone
