Superficial lump under clavicle

Options

I think most of us post cancer, try to remain positive, but there is always this nagging feeling and concern about it coming back, even despite all the statistic.

So, I am 2 year post surgery. Found a small lump under my left clavicle, but above my breast implant capsule. I had fat grafting, but most of the fat on that side has been reabsorbed, so I don’t really have much fat left. My initial thought was fat necrosis. I just had ultrasound and they didn’t see anything. Waiting to see if they want to MRI to confirm. Radiologist feels the asymmetrical lump but doesn’t know what it is either.

while it probably is nothing. The worry still gets me.

I like you, am 2 years post surgery. It is impossible not to have days that we worry BC will be back. Have you had your MRI yet? I had my annual mri last week, and convinced myself that nothing will show. I was wrong. My oncologist called Friday to tell me I have a 2cm lump on my right breast near the chest wall. Now waiting for my biopsy to get scheduled.

@Mememee. I’m so sorry girl! I know that we talk ourselves into positive thinking and hope for the best. Remember just one foot in front of the other. That’s all we can do. Did you have a mastectomy too? When is your biopsy scheduled for? My MRI was negative. They found some atypical changes near the my lymph nodes but most likely scar tissue. Thinking of you girl! Positive thoughts and deep breaths!

sorry to hear about what both of you are going through mun and me

Mun...I’m sorry if this is a silly question. when I do my manual exams I don’t think I even check near my clavical. How did you know to check there? That’s good you found the lump. Can you keep us posted?

I’m having my first post surgery mri this month. I’m about 3.5 years from surgery.

Jon'sGirl - My recurrence was in a lymph node just under my collar bone. I didn't check since I thought with a BMX for DCIS I was thorough. I'm not sure how you would check other than being generally aware of your body. I saw a swelling appear - so when I went in to my MO for my standard 2 years meet & greet - he suggested CT. I suggested ULS that same day - in fact before I left the office. That turned into an ultrasound biopsy. And so I learned I was starting over.

minustwo: thank you for sharing some of your journey. Wow. So sorry you've had a recurrence. Its good you asked for a ultrasound that same day you had your dr appt. the ct probably would have taken longer to get answers. the waiting after biopsy for results and even for diagnostics can be frustrating

I just don't usually check up that high when I do manual checks. And yes if I had bmx I'd think the same thing. Ive been having so much joint pain. Even up in clavical but it's not constant pain so I'm assuming all is ok. I'm having MRI this month for one of my two yearly 6 mo checks.
