1 Year Post DIEP - Zero Appetite

Hi All, I have a question and I can't seem to find any info - hoping you can help. I had a DIEP flap last year and my appetite has pretty much disappeared. I can easily go all day without eating and when I do eat I am extremely full after just a few bites. I get very bloated and uncomfortable. I also notice I am burping after eating and this has never been an issue. Has anyone else experienced this??? Just trying to figure out if this is related to the DIEP of if I have something else going on. Thanks!!

    Summer - since this has been going on awhile, you need to check w/your doc. I'd start with a GI doc.

    Hi Summer - The only effect DIEP had on my appetite was that I can’t eat quite as much in one sitting as before without discomfort since the belly is tighter but nothing significant, no increase inburping or anything. I agree with Minus that consulting your internist or a GI specialist if you have one is a good idea.

    Thanks guys, I had an appt. with a GI yesterday and he's going to do an endoscopy and a CT scan but he seems to think it's related to my surgery. I was just curious if anyone else had similar symptoms.
