Unusual side effects from Hormonal Therapy

Hi all,
I am in letrozole for 10 months. Starting month # 6, I start having many side effects and it seems they are finally winding down or I am learning to cope with them. Always worries if they are SE or symptoms are recurrence.

I want to ask if any of you had any symptoms of bruising easily. In the last 3 weeks I am having unexplained bruises and this morning I woke up with a pink, fresh bruise on my leg. Has any of you any experience with this? Any suggestions? I am not someone who bruises easily.

yes I bruise very easily since starting Letrozole. Its been 5 years and I still bruise if I barely bounce myself.

Same here. I found a fresh bruise tonight as a matter of fact. I just shrugged and thought “just another bruise that I have no idea how I got. 🤷🏻♀️ BC~ the gift that keeps on giving.

Thank you for letting me know your experiences. I wonder if it is SE of letrozole or Zometa, or supplements I am taking. I stopped them all: vit D, fish oil, glucosamine. I also sent a message to MO if he has any idea why this may be. My only concern is that bruising means the blood vessels break easily and it can happened in brain, etc. that my be life threating.

Thank you bcincolorado. I am not sure if the list is updated because my MO told me SE of Letrozole that are not in this list like dry skin, hair thinning, etc. I will let you know once I hear from MO office.

Fish Oil, aspirin, Vit E - lots of supplements cause the blood to thin. That would cause brusing.

MinusTwo, thank you. I stopped fish oil and aspirin I was taking. Very strange because I have used fish oil many years before BC and I never had any problem. Things have changed for sure
