Getting a Port for Chemo

Sorry if this is covered on another thread I tried to search but I was getting quite a bit back.

I am having four cycles of Chemo TC (taxotere cytoxan). My Mammoprint came back high risk - I am right on the border however.

My question is I am getting a port for these four infusions since the doctors say that this chemo drug would cause burn to my skin if I had IV.

I am leaving on one last vacation before chemo starts 10/24 to 10/31. They want to put the port in 10/19 so they can start chemo when I get back from vacation the week of 11/2. So Monday port goes in and Saturday morning I leave on vacation. It is a 3 hour drive to a condo in the mid Florida Keys - Islamorada. I won't be getting in the pool or ocean since I have an expander in. Will I be okay to have the port in Monday and leave Saturday - what kind of problems can the port cause me? I have a follow up appointment with my surgeon Friday the day before I leave to check how the port is doing. My husband is a little leery of me getting the port before we leave.
