Hello everyone! My first time posting. Last week I found a lump after sudden pain in left nipple and areola. I also felt a "tearing/pulling" pain under my nipple when I stretched my arm in any direction. After a full day, pain subsided down to it only hurts if you touch my breast. A few shooting pains. 5 days after finding lump I went to Dr. yesterday, hoping it doesn' look too bad. Because of the location of the lump she prescribed antibiotics. Im very happy that shes not too concerned. However, this is the first time I go through such a painful experience. My lump is pretty large and when I touch it, even through my skin i can feel the surface is bumpy, like little ridges. And if i press on it, pain radiates to my armpit. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Thanks!

Hello Sunflower - I know this thread is old, but I am curious of the outcome. I have a similar type lump with tiny ridges on the surface and is tender. Any feedback would be great. Hope you are well.

jqz15, you had a biopsy and it was a benign cyst if I remember correctly, right?

jzq, Sunflower never posted about what happened but returned a year later (February 2019) with a different concern about architectural distortion. She never posted to say what happened with that either, but hasn't been on the site in more than 1 1/2 years. So my guess is that both her concerns turned out to be nothing serious. People who receive a breast cancer diagnosis usually say so, and move on to Diagnosed forums.

Hi Beesie - I figured I would try to send a note in hopes she may check the site. No news is good news in a lot of these cases. Thank you for your response!
